Road bends, turns, and twists,
We stumble, then stand up tall,
New horizons wait.
Sometimes, the right people meet at the wrong time.
Other times, the wrong people collide at the right moment.
And then there are those rare instances where the right people meet at the right time.
But fate has other plans, putting their love to the test.
Ultimately, it's how they respond to these twists and turns that determines the course of their lives and hearts.
I navigate through the portal of life
Walk past the corridors
Where light and shadows play
Welcoming each twist and turn
Accepting the ups and downs
Guiding my path to my destiny
Facing life's storms
With fortitude and resilience
Crafting me into who I am
The echoes of the past
Reverberates across the hallway
Where the past and present meet
Oh poetry is easy?
Tried now you’ve got anxiety;
Credit us as artists;
With metaphoric plot twists
we can transform reality.
Twists and Turns..
The story finds
Already This
Appearing as that..
Amazing..but
Me may re-enter
Jump on stage
Desperate to find
Unfindable This..
The saving grace:
Desperation too is
Already This...??
Life's twists and turns like the wheels of mystery
Sometimes it is bliss, sometimes it's misery
Sometimes it is crest, sometimes it is trough
Sometimes it is false, sometimes it is true
Sometimes it is white, sometimes it is black
Sometimes it is tight, sometimes it is slack
Sometimes it is red, sometimes it is yellow
Sometimes it is high, sometimes it is low
Sometimes it is left, sometimes it is right
Sometimes it is dim, sometimes it is bright
Sometimes it is heavy, sometimes it is light
Sometimes it is peace, sometimes it is fight

At the tender age of twenty-three
Carl took his leave of family
He'd put his stock in friends, he said
One year later, happily wed
Life was easy, an ocean breeze
His siblings, Carl loved to tease
Mocking their holiday get-togethers
He toasted his friends in Vegas weather
The years passed, memories faded
Carl and his wife fully persuaded
They'd done the right thing, sans regrets
Although no children did they beget
But Carl took ill, then his wife left him
Life took a U-turn... painful... grim...
Distant memories of a caring home
Awakened Carl's nostalgia zone
So despite himself, Carl picked up the phone
~ Family long gone, address unknown
Most of the time, it seems
Plans change, plots twist
Dreams replace dreams
Hopes are swapped for hopes
Visions, wishes, desires
Metamorphose from one to another
We don’t always see it coming
But the change arrives on gentle
Whispers of moonlight and stardust
Winding through the paths of
Lightening bolt promises, echoing
Wonder that fades from the shadows
Of a kind and caring spirit
Who knows that change, though feared
Is sometimes better than the original
Plan, the idea, sometimes the plot
Twist brings out the best story
Change is the stuff legends
Are made from even though we don’t
Enjoy the conversion at first
Once adjusted to the difference
We find our hearts praising
The One who gives us the ultimate
Change, the change of a heart
Who believes in the Son, who died
So that we might have life
And have it to the full…
Change, sometimes, is good!
Skip around twists and turns in life,
like only a dancer
forever in music is lost.
With grace God adorns her.
Her passage marks my soul
with fineness, like old gold
makes an adornment whole.
Scorn the risks; scorn the storms,
skip around twists and turns.

We accept tornadoes here,
expect them, tick them off
as they pass by like demon dreidels.
Usually they are not a big deal
unless they are.
Spring culls its little lambs
in all sorts of ways.
The murder rate in Chicago
climbs ever higher
until the city prays for more snow.
Folks in their privileged trailer parks
get rolled like dice.
A pressing need for body bags
creates work for some.
The addicted and dying oblige
as best they can.
It’s all a small town hush
unless a celebrity overdoses
then distraught, the news is spread
from parlor to parlor.
Shooting-up on the streets
is a recreational choice for those
who camp-out in Cleveland and Dayton.
Meanwhile birds keep singing,
Spring flowers struggle to bloom
squeezed as they are
between such climatic collisions.
We hear the roar and rumble
of funnels turning upon themselves
as they twist the nights away.
Being adopted at 6 weeks I was gone
to live in countryside brought much joy
there I was free to fill me with fresh air
pre-school was great just as a little boy
But school came to hate each day
so glad to reach 15 to get away
suffered stammer so stopped me on track
socially unable, so shy and reserve I did stay
Got wed at 28 sadly Jean passed away
then came to believe God to receive salvation
this changed me coming spiritually alive
Jesus my friend and saviour so full revelation
At 37 remarried to Christine so in love
now been wed 30 years simply amazing
in these years in myself got stronger
increase in faith for God be praising
In all the twist and turns of life
looking back God's been so true
providentially taking me on His route
I know I trust Jesus loving Him I do
Love twists and torments the fragile young mind.
Nothing seems to help heal it, not even time.
That’s why never again, you’ll trust someone.
No matter what they say, what’s done is done.
The mark has been placed, it shall not part.
It’s left a deep scar, upon your heart.
For you, love’s gone, and may not be again.
I’m sorry it happened to you, yet then . . .
What’s the difference, another will show!
He’ll behave much better, love true, I know!!
I wish things were finer for you… I do.
Please . . realize, he’s not for you.
If he were, he’d understand your ways.
Now when you look, it’s through a maze.
It changes the reasons, for your doings.
It makes you question, why you’re doing.
Know, one-day, over the rainbow, you will find.
How true Love counts, in this world so blind.
A well-worn witch flits and twists through the indigo mist.
Gloating in genius, I look at my well-read list.
Bats shaken out of their sleep, come out to dive bomb.
I toast them with my dragon breath, singing a psalm.
The witch gives me a shake of her dirty little fist.
She makes me happy with her anger. I tie down her wrist.
Her pet crow dive bombs me as I add to the pyre.
I will lash him to it also, before I set the fire.
Do you think you are being too cruel? Little dragon asks me.
I roll my eyes, happy as I could ever and I mean EVER be.
My mind is made up. I am getting rid of all this garbage today.
My children are so crazy about these video games they do not want to play.
Halloween Horrors is the first video game to toss.
Followed by Witchy Wind Chimes and Ghost Busters by Ross.
I smile at the icons as they are deleted from my phone.
Now we can be a family again. Is that a ringtone?

One thing they ask ask and ask
They ask and answer stays puzzle
Every lip's tip remain no drizzle
That people's sake past hippos
The laughter and lovely rattling
Under the rivulet chants and pants
Say whatever goes around-
And applause of comes around.
Initial romantic turns run-
leaving the living question restrained
For the tickle stimulated laughter
And pampers of baby and baby
Promising heaven in haven sheller
"I'll do the don't and great lady-
I love you in pours and sours"
Later the love of bloody sores.
If love be a nice slice of guise
A no heap for the two-
A cleansing jewel for dual peeps
The laughter, smiles and tease too
Blood couldn't resolve the groove's-
battling.
Death and love underlying sides
The coins of parallel value-
That darken the weary souls,
The curry that sores with fouls-
The best test the rest nests.
You turn an age it dawns on you
This twist you've taken, you must stop
You turn in a new direction
But by a twist of fate you flop!
If you turn that which is anchored
Then that turn becomes a twist
So now with this new twisted turn
You wonder of, what was dismissed!
Turn up, turn down, or twist around
Turns and twists are everywhere
Do you know where you might have been,
If all those twists and turns weren't there?
So twist the wheel of fate around
For your next turn, give it a spin
Which ever way that you might twist
It turns to where, it should have been!
