Snowballs in Summer, ballsy blooming.
Lovely the limelight hydrangea cheer.
Buds’ll be diminished, as freeze be looming.
Leading edge Winter wear will disappear.
But for now, the gorgeous bloom display
upticks my heart. I wave. The flower puffs.
Along sidewalk in bridal shade bouquet
before the cluster water vessel rebuffs.
Thrown, those snowballs into sight of mine.
Attention to draw; does anyone else lean
into the bushes between the church & spine
of current neighborhood, this brumal scene?
The snow is still coming down extremely hard
Snowmen are springing up almost in everyone's yard
Schools have decided to close giving the kids a snow day
My driveway will have to wait, the family insists it is time to play
The snowballs are being prepared for the fight that is about to ensue
The adults versus children, our strategy is rapid-fire , they won't know what to do
That tactic was a complete failure as arms tired so very fast
As to who eventually won the fight, do you have to ask
Next up toboggan races on a big hill out back
Once again disaster strikes we have lost so many races, I have lost track
Our day of family fun has finally come to an end
Oh I almost forgot that driveway I have to shovel still awaits, my aching body I can't pretend
This year first snowfall of the season starts to cover the ground
Gently being released from the sky above barely making a sound
The morning commute sure to be a motorist plight
Having to dodge vehicles spinning out of control is not a pretty sight
Arriving at work stepping into the frigid morning air
Greeted with a barrage of snowballs coming from everywhere
Trying to fight back I lose my footing and go flying to the ground
The only thing that would make this day better would be to be homeward-bound
As I open the office door a shovel awaits, apparently I draw the short straw
Even a flock of crows swoop down towards me and start to caw
Finally, this day has come and it's time to leave without delay
After what seemed to be an eternity I finally arrived home met by my kids who now wanted me to go out and play
snowballs compacted
rolled up, stacked, frozen in place
man’s jewels, a carrot and coal
flurries cling to fur
and shaken loose, tail wagging
snowball’s freshly unfurling

SNOWBALL’S JOURNEY
Whither we go, dandelion seeds,
blown by a zephyr with toddler stature.
Snowball’s journey will yield petaled weeds,
but for now, we fly from the angel-dispatcher.
Our cyclonic parachutes, sublime.
Our flurry of seedlings put on a show.
We float, we flap in long distance climb.
Whither we go…whither we go!
What wings arise, ascent of bees -
Are they following our dandy cloud?
Finding a new home, they freeze,
hovering over the wild sowed.
Laying down roots, we surrender,
a flight of seedlings grow stems
and buttery-yellow petals, tender
to the toddlers, their mother’s gems.

The snowball’s soft petals strewn on the ground
Rain decimated the white flowering bushes,
Falling throughout the night without a sound
The snowball’s soft petals strewn on the ground.
Like fluffy cotton balls scattered all around
By the soft summer rain’s nightly ambushes,
The snowball’s soft petals strewn on the ground
Rain decimated the white flowering bushes.

Romeo loved his "kit-and-kaboodle",
Kept it clipped like a champion poodle
But a glitch in his gland ...
Meant the thing would not stand
So it hung from his gut like a noodle ...
Juliet was as cold as a freezer
A limp noodle served only to tease her
Without some stiff magic
Prognosis seemed tragic ...
For her Romeo just couldn't please her!
Acrostic SNOWBALLS
So wet yet frozen at the same time
No longer liquid circular objective sphere snow
Only present during winter seasons snow
When temperatures are at and below frizzing freezing
Baseball like white substance snow ice
A lways cold, always cold white snow
L ovely white sparkley ice and hard soft snow
L owered down from the winter heavens snow

innocents throw snowballs at traffic
whiz to the past, where
a parent would receive their little scoundrel
and a swift scolding. . .
swiftly we return to present day
where the payout for a child’s slight:
sadly it’s raining bullets
and the innocents fall
like Autumn leaves
red and pale
a cold call
a siren blares
life’s not fair!

Poor Frosty was built upside down
and quickly he’s talk of the town
He’s not wearing his smalls
so folks see his snowballs -
his smile soon turns into a frown!
When Santa learns of Frosty’s plight
he orders some work late that night
So his wife Mrs Clause
knits Frosty some new drawers -
but his ‘carrot’ doesn’t hang right!

SNOWBALLS UNHINGED
O sweet sugary snow, Shirley gets old.
Her glistening teeth are not very bold.
If she’d let loose,
They’d scram — vamoose!
As temperature drops, Shirley rolls cold.

Yesteryear’s child rolled in the snow all flakes blazing in frosted happy crystals
Broke through ice on winter scape lakes and warmed with steaming chocolate
Roasted chestnuts on sticks in the fireplace thawed glowed marvelling joy
Hot molten marshmallows mellowed frost bitten hands soothed adventurous soul
Winters were glorious with immaculate seasons greeting revolving excitement
Nostalgia romantic reminiscence foresight or withering delight’s sadness
Miraculous icicles descending dripping noses silently disappeared
Memories evaporated forgotten glaciers relinquished destroyed
Ravishing blistering heatwaves desertification thirstiness
Aggrandised humanity's perverted ‘advancement’
Tsunamis hell frozen
Conscience obliterated

I dont know about this poem but here it is:
When snow falls softly
You can make some cold snowballs
Try making some snowballs
Snowballs can be delicate
Sometimes they can be quite cold.
Please post with ideas to fix it..
Snowballs and footfalls,
Playing in fresh fallen snow,
Footfalls and snowballs.
