What a way to appear on screen
With cascadic hair open umpteen
Wishing me on the festival of lights
Giving me extreme delights
Oozing with passion from looks I say
Glittering with fervour come what may
As name means the gracious one
Let me wish thee in ton
My joy multiplies due to greetings thine
Out of blue I verse just fine
After a huge hiatus we are together

The way you decorated thy porch
It seems you’re an angel arch

Super Queen in rose pink
Wishes me to make me think
Of phrases lavish to create classic

Adorned with innate charm
With heart winsomely warm
Mebrowses for words novel

Made in a leisure magnanimous
By God humming the song melodious
Invincible with beauty and brain
Inevitable is my perfect pen

In life and career in flight..!!
We came here pretentious, egoistic, hyper-inflated with our meager academic laurels and
filled with self-adulation of our GPAs
You saw us plainly; our minds almost blank like a tabular rasa, but you saw potential and
so gently humbled us with IAs
Under the aegis of your golden rules, we learnt to know when to be silent and when to
“Always say something”
We needed to know the anatomy of this new education in order to rectify the pathologies of
our time
With your fatherly scalpels, you dissected the courses into absorbable pieces
You nurtured us and gave us a rather microscopic view of life so we can appreciate the
people around us
Even when the rigors of the academics struck us dumb, you were there to repolarise our
neurons with your fraternal voice; “Think folks!”
When complacency and indolence set in, you shook us up in a booming tone “It’s your job to
know!” and whet our hunger for knowledge
You gave us faith and pushed us to our limits till we saw distinctions right ahead of us
When we were almost tired and the world saw us hyperventilating and palpitating with fear
of referrals,
You transfused us with more knowledge, healed us and saved us at the phase of irreversible
shock and resuscitated us to be the best we could be
When we were back on our feet and had something to offer, you stood by, reminding us never
to judge others especially our patients
But to strive to put a smile on the faces of others
As if that were not enough, your chemoprophylaxis for us was holistic enough
To instill in our hearts a strong sense of selflessness with high doses of patriotism
running through our veins
Indeed your love for us is broad spectrum.
Today our hearts are filled with utmost gratitude
For you have placed us at an academic altitude
So we can have something to offer our generation
Our lips will continue in ceaseless veneration
At your polymorphic roles in our lives
For you are our teachers, our parents and our role models
We may twist and turn the queen’s language in your praise
We may shower gifts and awards
We may mimic your voices and behave like you
All we want to say is “We deeply love you, our dear lecturers.”

Is life really a race?
Do i have to keep up to its pace.
My heart hurts while it says,
How horrible is this phase.
Sometimes I aspire to be an engineer,
But the performance results asks the dream to disappear.
Sometimes with my voice , i want to be a singer
Who can carry the world on her finger.
Sometimes the heart says,"You can be a great writer".
Then the heart says,"will your future be brighter?".
Sometimes i want to be an actor
But mom and dad's permission is such a prime factor.
Now the heart says," Be an IAS".
Ah! Who will tell it that its full of stress.
Sometimes it says,"business can be a good start".
But i ponder that its not just your price charts.
these questions never give me an answer.
That are just my knowledge enhancer.
I do not have one aim
Is this thing that is to be put to shame?
Its not completely my fault.
But its just that my desires never come to a hault.

A school in a village without any pastel –
Divine Child which never cares for riel
Strives for excellence. Does propel
The children upwards and rebel
Against injustice gigantic or sea shell;
Strives to let its stars and carvings excel
With the artistic hands of its roselle.
All play ups and disobeys did she quell
For all discourteous and insolent is knell.
Insurgencies and Illiteracy repel
As soon as they hear Divine’s yell.
She made IAS, engineer and Laurel
Who are shining brightly in parallel.
The capacity to write is more in noel
As during Christmas less is evil’s spell
And more golly and blimey impel.
She is still like a nice damoiselle
Not touched by corruption or rebel.
This is pond. In it many a Raphael
Have drowned to break a cell
From which brains emerged like sail
Which drove young minds to foretell
Their future. With Anandi ma’am’s spell
She still does prosper, flourish and excel.
Sir you are shining moon between millions of stars.
I can see your great shining positivity though I am very far.
You are something beyond imagination.
Sir you are God's wonderful creation.
You have a powerful vision.
You are the perfect solution of every confusion.
Your thoughts are pious and elegant.
You are beyond creative and something beyond intelligent.
You are such a creation which I can't express in words.
Your dedication touched my soul.
You are the biggest inspiration to achieve any goal.
Your teaching is not just a teaching.
You are creating and you yourself are portrait of humanity.
You are reflection of compassion, positivity and happiness.
Sir from you a true ias aspirant can never live apart.
Sir you are leaving your footprints on our heart.
WITH REGARDS
PRIYA SINGH
(Poetess, lyricist, author )
Appears on my screen the angel
I simply at her attire marvel
Orange hue resembles Sun
And I being her son
Steal time to be verse spree
On her smile and divine saree
Resembles an IAS appointed
And fairy just anointed
Glorious belle with attitude sweet
Extoll her through my tweet
My words find just limit
To describe her grace super hit
What a way to stand with grin
I like this of her still serene
With her zillion dollar smile
My versing goes an extra mile
Let me admit that she is so sharp
Besides being sweet, strict and streetsmart
Artistic bent and majestic pose
Magnificent vista with her I suppose
Is she a fairy from heaven
Or an angel from Pa's haven..!
I am unable to calm down
At her beauty like Queen with crown..!!
Childhood’s no longer a time to chill,
We’ve found ways child’s very child to kill!
Time then to draw a line—
Every child's no Einstein,
S@tire that enough of truth has still.

Poet’s note: I see an infant in a cradle. Instead of colourful sundry hangings over the cradle shaft (watching which my generation grew up to be a happy-go-plucky child), I see label-banners that read: JEE, IAS, NEET, GMAT, CAT, GRE, all hurdles that a student has to pass for a bright career attracting good salaries, and his parents filled with aspirations looking over . What a way to raise a child!
