You Fill My Senses
If I could only look upon one place,
I would look upon your face.
In your eyes, I see the depth of the ocean,
the twinkle of the stars.
A world of love, gentleness and strength.
In your smile; the sun.
If I, to hear, had only one choice,
I would choose your voice.
In your voice, I hear every song ever played,
every poem ever penned,
birds in the spring
laughter, joy and peace.
If I, to only feel one thing; if it were such,
I would feel your touch.
In your touch, I feel a light summer breeze,
a much needed rain,
the softness of clouds,
warmth of a glowing fire, euphoria.
If I could only taste one thing, it would be this.
I would taste your kiss.
In your kiss, I taste the sweetness of the finest wines,
strawberries and wild honey,
a giving heart,
pleasant dreams and heaven.
If I could smell only one thing, then,
I would smell your skin.
On your skin, I smell the freshness of mountain air,
the salt of the open sea,
the wind dancing across the plains,
freedom to love.
