Who Ewe Looking At?

Softness that stinks, a smell from afar Can't see you yet, but I know where you are Vocab quite limited, to my untrained ear Perhaps there's more to it than I can hear Eye me with suspicion, what have I done? I'll have you know I'm a vegetariun...

Dear Dilly, I loved this poem. It’s so funny and cute too. As a fellow non meat eater (vegan) it resonates greatly with me. Animals grazing out in the fields can be so inquisitive. Bless them and you too Dilly. Hope you’re having a good weekend. Hugs xx

Ha!! Ha!! I guess you won't be eating that ewe. Thanks for sharing this one with us and it reads like a good contender for the contest to me. Way to go. Sara K

You certainly describe the bang of sheep dung that fills the air on approach Dilly, the limited vocab is also a very big giveaway lol! a fun collection of clever couplets, vegetariun not quite (me) I’m more of a beef man, with Moonosyllabic vocab, I’m afraid, cheers David

Maybe they'd prefer that rather than people like me competing for their plants :)

Dear Di11y Da11y, your poem is such a delightful blend of humor and introspection. Your play on words and the juxtaposition of softness and suspicion create a whimsical atmosphere. Your wonderful exploration of limited vocabulary adds depth to the narrative. It's a witty and engaging piece that leaves me smiling and pondering. Excellent! - Blessings, Daniel

Thanks Daniel - there's a field of sheep near where I live and this is really just my thoughts on walking past. There's always a brave one - sent to find out what I'm up to haha

Think I've only tasted mutton once and even if I did eat meat I wouldn't eat it. They are doing their best to make their wool less appealing too...
