What If Christmas
What if...
Suppose for a moment
there were no presents to open
no tree to place them under
no lights or ornaments to hang;
suppose you made a sumptuous dinner
and no one came
not a card, not a phone call,
no e-mail or greeting on your facebook page;
suppose the season came and left
you in your loneliness
was overlooked, forgotten
unnoticed and never missed;
take a moment in this season shared
with loved ones, friends, family
distant relatives and old acquaintances
and remember in your prayers
the lonely, the alone, the homeless and unsheltered
and share the love and peace
of Christmas not gone but now here
remember....
