a statement in their freedom of expression the verdant undergrowth – a green carpet, indispersed with yellow, white and rose flowers – leaning away from the regimental lines of the centre lane of poplars the tree trunks, a whimsical hue of lilac a profound blend of renewal, early love, and spiritual wisdom in the overall aesthetics a contrast in colour on Newton’s colour wheel the female figure fuses with the shades of the undergrowth whereas the male figure mimics the upright form of the poplars the rushed brushstrokes a hurried comment on echoes of social construct then and now

Dear suzette, as i read this take i cant help but admire the artistic nature of your word weaving and the seamless flow of your words, absolutely stunning and so much depth and it really caught my eyes how youv written “ whereas the male figure mimics the upright form of the poplars the rushed brushstrokes a hurried comment on echoes of social construct” that is so deep and made me think a little deep from the point of view of then and now and social constructs of men. Always strong and steady, whatver may come their way, this has so many lines that made me think and feel deep! Love it! A fave for me! Congratulations on your win in the contest, sending you light today and alwYs

the tree trunks, a whimsical hue of lilac… a contrast in colour on Newton’s colour wheel…the female, shades of the undergrowth, and male, upright like the poplars…Loved your observations! Hugs

I wasn't influenced by anyone. I wrote mine a long time ago . I try to post slowly my poems. On the meantime I have seen enough of these to know I probably won't be on the winner list. But at least my depiction of the people is unique!

Thanks, Andrea. I try not to read other contestants' entries for fear that they might influence me. I prefer to read the winners lists
