Three Sides to Every Story
A wife complained about her husband’s “selfish ways.”
Her mother listened, wisely speaking not a word~~
then said, “Is he all bad? Does he deserve no praise?”
The daughter said, “You KNOW me! Not one lie you’ve heard.”
The husband, also irate, vented to his dad
about his “clueless wife’s insensitivity”
to his life goals. His father asked, “When you’re this mad,
can you be fair?!” The answer: “Yes, I guarantee!”
Another entity no one could see was there--
The Truth, the Whole Truth, Nothing but the Truth~~its name.
When you tell only partly what is true, beware
you’re lying by omission—not honest, as you claim.
There are two sides to everything~~people declare.
That saying often falls short of reality.
When Sides 1 and 2 vent their woes, they are seldom fair.
The often unacknowledged full truth exists~~Side 3.
