The Raven and the Lark
"Comprising countless quanta moving through space, Nature's nature reduced indifferent is to Pain."
-- the integrity of physics

A lark on flitting east to brightly sing
a raven flapping west asudden met,
and each in needing brief to rest a wing
beside a crosswind held a tête-à-tête
ere rose the sun to run ere yet it set.
"At dawning's gate I tweet," remarked the lark,
"to Nature's sainted virtue sweet ensky!"
to which the raven sharp replied, "Hark! Mark!"
on pointing to a sparrow passing by --
which hit the earth below to dying lie.
