The Partisan
It was my duty
to fight and conquer
for my country needs me,
and so I dress
in protective clothing
a helmet on my head.
I climb a small hill,
with belts of bullets
all around my stout neck
for it's my duty
to help my country
and save the little babes.
I am a partisan,
I do my duty.
I kill my enemies
and save all else.
I know it's risky,
One day, I'll die,
It matters not
My duty calls.
But if I die,
bury near a river
beneath a lovely willow tree.
And a stone cross
should mark my resting place.
Just write
He did not die in vain.
