Take Me Home

Always and forever a red devil. I am red to the bone marrow. To the battlefield when you were gone, We stayed behind to lead you forth. When we were thought down and out, Out of the shadows sprang new heroes. You stood with me not to crumble; I'll stand by you when you struggle. Down Ferguson lane take me home, Take me home to Old Trafford. Always and forever a red devil Ever red to the bone marrow. Trafford was young:Trafford is now old I have seen never the devil give up battle. Sharp and straight to the point it once was, Even in the grave I would connect to Vodafone. America's AIG too we did don, Still I to the very end I'm Trafford. An AON to insure against youth destruction Still at war, our Alex Over the Natural. In a brand new Chevrolet we drive now A vehicle that veers towards Canaan and hope. Take me down Manchester Road Take me home to Old Trafford. Forever and ever a red devil: I am ever red to the bone marrow.

Hello Messoh, Thanks for your recent read of my latest sonnet!! I really like your couplet here. The build out of your metaphors and the imagery is fabulous. I certainly agree with Andrea about your "repeating couplet." Very Powerful indeed. A "SEVEN"!! Cheers and Best, Gary
