Starlight
Bare feet twisting tunelessly
To the rhythm of life you pour from your soul
A tornado of emotion rushes to greet me
As I smile at the sun dress twirling in the rain
Dark silk strands trailing like a river,
Obscures a smile of warm honey
You bring me to my knees
When you flash that perfect emotion,
So pure and simple,
Knowing I brought it to you
Lifts me to the heavens
Our debates leave me breathless
That mind of yours a cloud,
So high above me,
And so far I've been drowned
By the precipitation of your words
Falling like golden raindrops
I catch them all and thirst for more
But I worry that I've been found
You leave me here because I chose
To leave you happier than I found
But I cannot just leave something
That turns my life around
You opened something in me
That without you is just sound
But come a little closer and
The resonance will resound
Three simple words give meaning
Because in you,
I Am Found
You are my starlight,
I only wish I was yours
