To travel far Along the road To live so long And not be told That from the clay Where hearts complete There will be one Your heart will meet To tend your wounds Let anxious cease Wrap with arms Of total peace To walk those miles And not be found The truth revealed now To astound A soul that fits Like hand in glove Reciprocation No striving love So from the earth We came and yet Had travelled far Before we met I cannot lose What has been found Before returning Home to ground Anam cara You must be So hold my hand Eternally

What a beautiful, tender love poem of faith, Sam! There is a lyrical flow to each stanza that has an unbroken cadence like eternal love. Just what I needed today! There can be no closer friend to our soul than its creator. Congratulations on your POTD! Blessings to you!

Dear sam, i love the quotes and picture youv used here , gives a very cosmic vibe, and how beautifully youv woven this poem, about a soul friend. I have so many soul sisters and friends and they know me better than the ones around. The soul connection we find with friends is precious, and i love how youv written “ A soul that fits Like hand in glove Reciprocation No striving love” as wwll as the line with “ to tend your wounds” so heartfelt and touching. Congratulations on POTD. Well deserved

Gosh dear Sam … this is so beautiful and I had to read it several times. So profound, so poignant. The picture pairs perfectly and I agree with Gary - your recital, as always, is perfectly pitched with wonderful tempo that really enhances each word to bring the poem alive. I love the flow and depth here especially the last two stanza’s. Stamped your mark all over this one with your usual poetic unique flair. ‘ Anam cara you must be … so hold my hand eternally’ Loved it! Thank you for sharing.
