Tall dark and handsome, a selfie

My shadow flirts with the sun As I caress the darkness We are one and separate As my shadow smiles Anxiety suffocates me The shadow will soon fade I shall die One happy, one not

Arthur, I enjoyed the imagery and the way you separated your shadow from yourself. Blessings, Susan

but a hundred years from now death will have to wait... If the shadow could speak since it is ahead of you to tell you what your next step will be.. hum

My friend, your every presentation here shows poetic genius and immensity of talent. For this short poem to have such impact and force(as it clearly does), reveals a depth in character and poetic fervor of its creator. A fav and thanks- this inspires me to write today, when I had previously thought not to do so.

Your shadow sounds a bit busy, and your title made me think of Psalms. It would be better if you're the one who smiles and not your shadow.
