Remember Me To Linda-Marie
She was the first here to welcome me,
Our beloved sweetheart, Linda-Marie
With praise she offered effervescently
She encouraged my entre into poetry
She was open and caring with purity of heart
Her sincerity was evident right from the start
Too soon, from us, she would depart
Our mistress of poetry, known as “Sweetheart”
Her passion and emotions were worn on her sleeve
A few selfish egotists forced her to leave
But her love for the rest of us made it a short reprieve
She came back where she belonged and we were relieved
Her health was fading but her courage held strong
She continued her encouragement for me all along
For the Good Lord to take just seems to be wrong
I will always remember her – My Sweetheart, My Song
