We took a small sample of his favorite liquore (from Calabria) so he could have some pleasure at the hospital before the morphine took over. For anyone interested, it's available in North America in Toronto. If I am dying, please serve champagne and celebrate my life.

At hospice my relative died Let's rejoice the choices he tried We could celebrate His life that was great But you continually cried

Yes, that is correct. I am a little selfish in this one. I knew it when I wrote it and am glad you noticed and pointed out as did Tom below. We all cried a lot, including yours truly.

Even Jesus cried when he saw the mourners of Lazarus in pain

You are absolutely on target Tom! It's tough to walk into a room and see someone we know who was recently so full of life in the process of dying. I did cry when I saw my wife and her sister crying. While the dying person becomes free of all worry, the survivors have issues. It's a loss and crying is welcome. This would be especially true for loss of someone young--thru war, accident, or some unexpected trauma.
