Raindrops 2
Raindrops on umbrellas make me happy,
As they drum a merry melody,
Raindrops are the promise,
Of springtime sprung upon us,
The spectrum of a rainbow’s symphony.
Raindrops are the milk of nursing mothers,
They nourish lakes and rivers by the flow,
They journey with the daughters,
Of life-engaging otters,
And stir the raging waters undertow.
Raindrops are the tides of our resistance,
The strength of our persistence by and by,
The lightning and the sunder,
Of nature's rolling thunder,
And miracles of wonder to the eye.
Raindrops are the peace of our forgiving,
The comfort of a mother's lullaby,
The life-affirming story,
Of nature's morning glory,
Reflected in the children passing by.
