Raindrops 2

Raindrops on umbrellas make me happy, As they drum a merry melody, Raindrops are the promise, Of springtime sprung upon us, The spectrum of a rainbow’s symphony. Raindrops are the milk of nursing mothers, They nourish lakes and rivers by the flow, They journey with the daughters, Of life-engaging otters, And stir the raging waters undertow. Raindrops are the tides of our resistance, The strength of our persistence by and by, The lightning and the sunder, Of nature's rolling thunder, And miracles of wonder to the eye. Raindrops are the peace of our forgiving, The comfort of a mother's lullaby, The life-affirming story, Of nature's morning glory, Reflected in the children passing by.

I am faving this beauty! Your rhymes were perfection, and in doing so you lost none of the story you are telling here, which is difficult to do! This poem flows... well like rain!! Excellence!! Xo

Thank you, Crystol. Thank you for the compliments. I always try to write something special for my readers. In contradiction to what we are told, rhyming sets my spirit free to write whatever I please. If that was not the case, all the great hymns and songs by popular artists and other writers would quiver and die like yesterday's jello in the back of your fridge. 'Til we meet again, Bryan
