Notes About The Poem

One Day Until New Year

Since the beginning of man, there has been hatred, wars and stinking thinking. There are people who bow to their God, twenty- times a day. Praying, their god blows you and your country, clean away! And worse, they live in almost every single country. Not at all fair, as you happily vote them into offices, quite sundry! Each sunrise, be grateful you have awakened to the very bright wintry day. Be humble, be loving, but stop thinking, we meager poets can wash hatred away. Make a moral inventory of your life and of yourself. It is insanity to believe that world peace is up to us! You were not born to run this world. Nor to destroy a poet or a nation with your very saccharine stirring words. How in heaven’s name do you think nations ever lasted? Many gave their lives, so you would never be blasted. Be aware following heinous, murderous Groups. Stop thinking peace is as simple as selling cookies in a girl scout troop. We are simply not saviors of the universe. Remember huge nations bow tewnty times a day, wishing on this free world., an end, and a curse! Pangie 12/30/2024

Jcb, I fault no one for being unaware. The media lies like a snake to us. Unless you read Israeli news. Like The Jersalem Post, people think Palestine is a nation? It is a Phantom Nation. Only the UN(eeks) and most of the world buys ito their false victim narrative.,,,a sin..a lie to us all.Pangie xx

I'll take regional peace. That would be wonderful. As for example in the Middle East.

Even regional peace is questionable. The same madmen in Israel live here, and most Americans havee not a clue? Israel is celebrating Chanukah full out. One of the most ancient religions and civilizations will not bow to fear! Despite daily attacks. Peace is not coming. Look at man’s growing inhumanity to man. Pangie xx

I pray for that ~ Kim . On Oct 7th, my bday, before I knew what happened, I was in church praising God. I felt baby Jesus in my arms then He turned into Jesus off the cross…powerful. Hugs and Hannukah…lights of peace, my friend

Spot on. Every day, Britain allows potential terrorists to sail across our waters, willy-nilly. The west is allowing itself to become weaker. You can see why the far right are getting stronger, and history tells you how this pans out.

Hi Darlene, when it comes to our continued existence on this planet, you bet I’m concerned. . When women poets here don’t care that 1200 people were killed in one day and the only that sigded were men,I know that something is wrong in the world.. and I am not buying the excuse of politics. Murder is murder.. if all we want is fun poetry then we’re not poets. Real poets live in reality and aren’t afraid of anything.. life is not all beautiful and I wish we stop pretending that it is. Pangie.

Hi Pangie, our world has never seen peace and never will, religions divide people, I'd rather be a free spirit than a religious freak, wishing you a happy and a healthy new year God bless. xx

Dear John, you are delughtfully homest. Both you and I would be labeled as negative.. hardly. You have same things that are painful and so have I. I was not referring to any branch of Judaism nor any branch of Christianity.. It is something else that involves murder of innocencts. Our world won’t be allowed you know what I’m talking about.. I know who you are. I know you care about human life..Pangie.

I thank you for a finely created comment, to me, comments are as important as a poem! I like ones that create a relatioship with other poets. One word comments? No pass! Pangie najority of mne I hope to refine. But i do not try to outdo the poet. In comedy thats called upstaging a poet. Nor will I write simpleton headed comments. Nor use porn to get a laugh! But unless I am ill, will never play I wont read you unless you read me
