Dear Andrea: Thank you my friend. Yes, I am 2nd generation Singaporean. My grandfather emigrated to Singapore circa 1920 for reasons I can only speculate. He died when my late father was only 3 years old. But, I am glad he did. We retain the family Spanish surname Enriquez but the only mother tongue I know is British English since this is our colonial heritage here. My late mother was a Chinese lady. My wife is Chinese too. Singapore is the only place I know as Home. Like all cities, it has its peculiarities depending on your personal take. Not perfect but a buzzing city with its quirkiness. If you are ever in town, we can catch-up for coffee. Just send me a soup mail OK? Leon
