In Tango Face To Face
Latin guitar boy
with mischief in your eyes
and comfort in your smile
I thought I could forget
that once upon a night
when final goodbyes
like ash borne clouds
in filthy skies
and short -lived
stars blinked with regret.
A hundred moons have passed
since I have seen you last
Since our life-lines met.
A hunded moons have died
since you crossed my mind.
But last night in my dreams
I swear I felt a breeze
The wind on my lips
Soft brush on my cheeks;
...And I knew
I knew it was you.
The voice
The foreign accent
The unique way
You whispered-out my name;
..And I knew
I knew it was you...
I begged you to stay.
You kept getting closer
Tired Hands cupped my face.
You could not walk away;
...And it was you
...And it was me
It was us in tango again
As always
As in forever
As in a better time
As in another place
After
The rain
The breeze
The sheets,
and wet pillows of pain
Two hearts
still beating
Unless We stop dreaming
We were...
We are..
We are still the same.
