If You See Eve

If you see Eve, Tell her she was not a good mother If you see Eve, Tell her she could have done better If you see Eve, Tell her she could have said an emphatic NO! If you see Eve, Tell her she was avaricious and gluttonous! If you see Eve, Ask her why she exchanged a generation for a sour apple If you see Eve, Ask her why even a snake was wiser than she If you see Eve, Tell her her disease was contagious If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters have been infected If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters are at it again If you see Eve, Tell her they've exchanged their virginities for an iphone If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters have become slay queens If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters have become social media dogs If you see Eve, Laugh at her sarcastically for she detested being naked If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters now delightfully showcase their boobs If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters have murdered many innocent souls If you see Eve, Tell her her daughters' wombs have become slaughter houses If you see Eve, Tell her she initiated the song of woes If you see Eve, Tell her things are falling apart If you see Eve, Sing her songs of sorrow If you see Eve, Give her a mournful tear If you see Eve...

Wow, no maternal instinct at all. She obviously was out for her own gratification and reward. Linda

Eve lime many of us thought if we stuff our brains with knowledge we will rule the world and be better than God. Many still think like her. Heads full of knowledge impressing nobody. Original verse... Panagiota Xi

And all this arises, I suppose, because your were told of Eve, and then lectured by the hour so you'd believe, that authors way back then should not deceive, now disparate wayward lives, of such, how could dear Eve, conceive. This is a provocative piece of work, Dear Adeniji. Its message rings loudly across the ages.

Eve in a nutshell, but Adam's sin was greater, he forfeited his fear of God and headship to a woman. One of the best poems on this subject on the Soup. Thank you for reading my work. Besy to you. / Maurice

Adam was unable to stand against the temptation of a woman. He was not a good father and not even worthy of emulation. Thank you for the love you've shown, Maurice.

An excellent piece Adeniji, you really tell it well showing Eve as she was. Really liked this and funny enough the feminist movement tend to be quiet on their first Lady!, have blessed day Gordon

Powerful and disturbing. Sadly Adam is due a similar poem. Thankfully God has provided us a way back to Him. There is much to contemplate within these words.

Dear Richard, Adam was influenced under the powerful deceit of a woman. He wasn't a good husband though. It is indeed a great privilege to have our way back. Thank you my friend.

Dear Adeniji: Nicely done. You know Eve very well. A real person? Or just an imagery? Like Adam's Eve? All the best then, Leon.
