I Miss

Written: July 30, 2024 For Ink Empress Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My blood is infused with poetry I hope to share with you my inner views We should all praise our poetry Without resentment or jealousy We've been doing this ever since Check out how many friends we miss That's what brought us together. We must respect and trust each other We all experience bumps and suffering and boost one another's spirit Everyone here is extremely lovely Our hearts reach out to wide horizons to exchange thoughts or emails We have become and will remain a family The best friendships never stop. It will only last a lifetime. Still, I found myself missing you here A gnomish jigsaw piece vanishes without reason I was absent from both prose and stanzas Then it hit—maybe you were away Trophy-winning freedom for others I'm glad to view you squiggling around in cyberspace again An audience is taking in our lyrical poetry.

Ah dr sotto, a very different write from your ink this time, and yes sometimes we miss what we had and also it isnt easy, being on top as theres so many that get jealous, in the world of poetry art and many more, all we can do is express sincerely and give what we wish to receive too. Dear friend, I didn't know you are back after the trip. I too have been too busy and in the shadow of a horrendous landslide that shook a part of our state. Though we remain unaffected, most of my time is spent on watching the news of those who survived the tragedy in which hundreds died and who lost everything. Your poem speaks of friendship. When we are away we miss our friends. We have a big gang of friends here on Poetry Soup. Happy to say you are one of my dear friends who always encourage and boost me with your wonderful comments. What an opener you have with "my blood is infused with poetry". I mean just wow on that. I think we here on Soup do a better job respecting each other than in other realms like, politics.
