How Glenn Hughes saved my Life

It was a dark and dreary day Thor was outside hammering clouds causing all sorts of thunder and lightning I was up late I haven’t slept in six years ever since the Illuminati poisoned my brain I was sad and I could hear the sirens calling for me… “Robert, Robert, come to the bay” But as I put on my shoes to head for the water I decided to put Glenn Hughes on the vinyl record player and to this end he saved me His lyrics were gifted and crafted as if they were designed just to hold me tight his voice lifted and elevated me… took me out of my shoes I’ll never forget this day and other days where he saved me saved me from the sirens saved me from the bay I love you Glenn I respect you Glenn And out of appreciation, I will hold Glenn Hughes inspiration poetry contests every month from now until the end of eternity

Dear robert, this poem shows that you are a very grateful soul and one that is very thankful for the music and light that Glenn hughes sends your way to save you from darkness. Thats very soul warming to read. And i hope that you always find a reason or more to keep going and to not drown in darkness. And i must say glenn is a strong singer, still singing at such an old age! We also respect him here on soup! Happy new year and thank you also for my win in your contest! Was a pleasant surprise

I don't think you can do it into eternity but I bet you will try. Haha. I am glad that he sees you, Robert. How can you not have slept in so many years??

I was particularly touched by the lines "His lyrics were gifted and crafted as if they / were designed just to hold me tight / his voice lifted and elevated me…" They beautifully convey the feeling of being understood and supported by music. The commitment to holding poetry contests in Glenn Hughes's honor is a wonderful tribute.
