Golden Years

GOLDEN YEARS (triple Haiku) and where to from here? see those gray mists gathering questions answered soon oh! So many years why? ‘twas only yesterday same eyes looking out where has the time gone? forgetfulness is soothing but where to from here?

I like this, Daver, looking forward to my golden years. I'm looking for answers right now, so I'm guessing one day I will know the answers to everything. I'm naming the where to from here, "My Paradise Life" SKAT LOVE

I managed an Assisted Living once. One of the residents was complaining about her aches and pains, and I said I thought these were the golden years. Then SHE said, "Ha, the golden years ... You spend all your years rubbing off the rust, and then the Doctors get the gold!"

I don't know, "where to from here?" I wonder though sometimes. If I could only, before I die, convince the youth that an old person, the ones they patronize, are looking out the same eyes and seeing the same things at the same age as they are. Old age ... the never ending 25 years of age ... with the exception of experience. :)

On to the greatest adventures ... smile ... yes indeed they are gold and precious and there's nothing like dandelion fluff or waving daffodils to make each day more sweet. Wonderful write here, Daver ... at 67 I feel about 38 inside ... strange what the mirror says ... LOL
