-----------------------------------
A child once asked, with eyes so wide,
"Is there a God, or did they hide?"
I paused a beat, then softly said,
"Let’s look around, not just ahead."
God—some say—a skyward flame,
A whisper cloaked in holy name,
The stars, the seas, the breath, the tree,
The love that flows, unseen yet free.
No God? Perhaps, just chance and dust,
Equations cold, in atoms trust.
A mind alone in vast expanse,
No higher voice, just cosmic dance.
Or… maybe God, not black nor white,
But something felt when wrong meets right—
A sudden hush, a tearless cry,
The quiet peace before goodbye.
So child, I said, with gentle smile,
"Don’t race to choose, just walk awhile.
God, no God, or maybe so—
You’ll find your truth as you grow."
