“Thought streams manifested the dream
I was both subject and object
Methinks things are not what they seem
Which illusion do we reject”
I feel a sweet kiss placed upon my brow
I hear words telling me the why's and how
That the hopes that'd took flight and flew away
Are sure to come back to me some fine day.
In a dream I'm whisked off to foreign shore
Where I weep because my poor heart is sore
Sadly I pick up grains of golden sand
Cradling them gently in palm of my hand.
Slowly those grains slip away into sea
Just as the way true love deserted me
Joy of heart creeps back in mystical scenes
Within fantastical dreams most supreme.
Streams of thoughts reside inside my dreams
I came to believe love would come in beams
It's pointless grieving for what might have been
Wishing to be living dreams within dreams.
