Into the lake another pebble was tossed Its ripples mar the tranquility of my life Perhaps another kind friend, suddenly lost to this daughter, mother, and twice a wife Darkness veils my eyes, flowing with teary waterfalls spilling, for I've grown so weary Escape the world, according to Lin, not Garp Poetry gives way to blood lines, woes... throes Play no strings of sadness upon a golden harp Nonchalant I long to be, quietly in peace to doze Out of touch in a realm with no burdens to bear No barking, no biting. Don't search for me there

Lin, the space between the ripples is a great place and it’s nice to be able to hang out there. I think the trick is to be able to accept all the swells without letting them detract from a super zen feeling of happiness and peace with our limited and small existence. Smiles!

Christmas brings joy, but sadly it also brings back memories, and usually its memories of loss. We go on, cos life dictates we do. I think writing helps, it sure keeps them alive in spirit.

Very moving poem dear Lin...carrying significant emotional weight. Felt each line. Poetry graces even the dark places, gives the soul a means to express what it is to be fully human, fully alive even in our deepest sorrow. Your poem reminds us of this truth. Take care of yourself.

A melancholy piece Lin. Hope you are coping with life. Sometimes we lose a close friend and it tears the heart. Wishing healing for you if that is the case. Hugs...

what an emotional piece Lin, we both know life can throw us some curved balls and we need to get our priorities right and look after ourselves. I especially relate to the final stanza and escaping to a place we can find peace and tranquillity away from the burdens of life. hugs jan xx

Quite an emotional write Lin, I can sense the sadness in your verse. I'm hoping it's not what I'm thinking. Tom
