Caught In the Allure
caught in the allure
that demure smile
which long ago
has held me forever captive
giving me your hand
i fold into my chest
never leaving your eyes
the other wrapping around you we begin
it is a rare moment
we have left the world behind
dinner for two
a night to ourselves
living in that intimacy
the music pervades my soul
i am reaching deep into
what is the ecstasy of divinity
holding you
while adrift in that demure smile
the barriers between heaven and earth
melt in your eyes
as we dance at a dinner for two
there exists no other intimate wine
then the vineyards we are
