Big Bouquet
On the upcoming Mothers’ Day,
a unique floral gift she’ll give, thought May.
In the garden she spends quite a while,
waters the plants so the flowers will smile.
The plants don’t grow tall as time passes by,
flowers don’t bloom big, she doesn’t know why.
So, she keeps on praying day and night,
let God blossom flowers, big and bright.
At month’s end, she is filled with glee,
for God has listened to her earnest plea.
Garden is full of flowers on stems long,
blooming in stout cradle of saplings strong.
She cuts the stalks, makes a huge bunch,
with loads of flower she runs lest they crunch.
She isn’t tired, but very happy,
‘cause for Mom a big bouquet she could carry.
