Beyond the Journey
When I arise, wipe the sleep from my eyes,
I think of the love – the love so alive,
It reminds there is light, more wonderful and wise,
Than anything on earth – it is divine and it is mine,
The answer to my prayers, the reason I will praise…
Throughout all time…
Praise the Father and the Son, - praise the Spirit,
Who assures me a of love far more beautiful,
Far more abundant that any love I’ve ever known.
This love He brings – it feeds me with peace.
It draws me away from the shadows of my past,
Where it felt like sin would always last –
It assures me there is grace and I have a second chance,
To look into His face, and see the beauty of a smile,
A smile meant for His blessed child –
That child is me. I’m happy beyond my wildest dreams,
Because He gives me the sweetest peace within.
Because He silences my every fear, wipes away each tear,
With the promise that – wherever I am, whatever I do,
There is a light that reflects what is right – His light,
Colors my heart and my life in gentle truth, hope and faith,
That will never end, because I know He is my forever friend.
Praise the Father and the Son – Praise the Spirit who knows my soul.
Praise them all with faith that keeps me sure, wherever they live,
That is where my journey will end –
with these three, where there is love that never ends!
Praise the Father and the Son – Praise the Spirit who gives me hope.
Praise the One who can delight me with more love than I’ve ever known.
Praise the One who is brighter than the sun – He is the Son,
And His love, poured out through His blood, made a way for everyone,
To reach beyond the grave – to the heart of heaven,
Where we’ll forever praise – the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit,
Who calms my heart while I complete my journey through this world.
Praise God! Praise God! Praise the Father and the Son!
Praise the Spirit who lights up my world!
