From far a cool wind gently blows, There's a pleasantness in the air. Harsh summer heat steadily slows. The leaves of trees, new colours wear. Autumn has come in time to cheer From far a cool wind gently blows The season brings everything dear Stock in squirrel’s granary grows Leaves fall ending their sprightly shows. Some go fluttering in the air From far a cool wind gently blows Some trees are going starkly bare Flowers begin to fade and die, As the season’s about to close Many birds in flock southward fly. Valsa, you describe the transition of Summer to Autumn, in such a poetic way. This is my favorite moment to embrace, when "the leaves of trees, new colours wear." When I get such comments from a poetic maestro, I oscillate between delight and disbelief.... ! I ask myself- 'do I deserve so much'. Earlier I used to feel a kind of guilt and incompetency, now I have learnt to accept them with grace. Thank you so much dear friend.

The poem begins with "From far a cool wind gently blows" as the first line and then through each verse that same lime slowly makes it's way through the poem becoming each line in turn until it reaches the end and becomes the last line. When autumn begins we notice a cool wind gently blowing and it moves right through autumn just like this line. Nicely done, well thought.

That 'cool wind' bodes no good. I usually spell 'no good' like this: 'Snow & ice!'... For me, you've framed a haunting harbinger of a Halloween message... Congrats on POTD, Valsa!
