Autumn Fire
Afraid are the fragile leaves of fall,
Unknown wind swirled and swept them all.
The carpet of leaves in ginger, yellow and red,
Under the trees they lay beautifully spread.
Modest and silent stand the bare trees,
Numbed and wondering how time flees.
First golden, then auburn turns the ground,
Intense is glow of fire in all colors around.
Red stands out, where as bronze is brilliant,
Even orange shade looks bright and elegant.
