An Hour In Heaven
Please give me an hour, just one hour in heaven,
This one simple thing I ask.
Slow the minutes down, I have so much to do
Slow them down, and let them last.
In that sixty minutes that I spend in heaven,
I’ll tell you what I would do.
I would go visit with Jesus, look up my grandpa and kin,
And most importantly my children, it’s true.
Just one hour in heaven, I want to see my children,
I want to see them and hold them tight.
I would tell them I love them just one more time
Before my day gives way to night.
One hour in heaven, is it too much to ask?
If it is, I’ll just have to wait.
I’ll suffer the pain, that departure brings
And I’ll endure whatever’s my fate.
