life is a chessboard, with kings, queens, and bishops, knights, soldiers, charioteers... multifarious maneuvering to find their rightful place, and winning is a complex race. life is a lens in the camera, capturing moments of exhilaration, euphoria, exuberance... supple memories are all held close to heart…flashbacks startle, images don’t fade away when sun sets with scarlet hues  at falling dusk life is a delicate ethereal harp with reverberating resonant strings, Aha! to pluck them, to stroke them with gentle fingers ...dainty touch to create a celestial song of love life is not too many words, but a few spoken with fervor… a caress, a glance, an unannounced promise… a heart unknowingly given away. life is a rainbow, all swirling colours of the horizon woven together, luminous, transient, fleeting.. quivering dewdrops on lotus leaves, life is a meandering stream, flowing through rocky rugged pebbles, a choppy ridged course... Oh Ocean the ultimate destination! June 28, 2021 "Life Is" Poetry Contest Sponsor: Nayda Ivette Negron Flores A Brian Strand Premiere Choice Poetry Contest SEVENTH PLACE

Your highly artistic mind has weaved beautiful yarns of imaginnation. All the analogies used are highly impressive especally the concluding stanza where life is compared to a rainbow. This has secured a creditable win and is heading for another win...I am almost sure. Congratulations, Mala !

You are right, Paula. Life is all these, and so much more! Your suggestion is fantastic - a Part 2. I was already thinking about so many other metaphors...but stopped including...too long for readers! Thank you for valuable comments.
