A Wintry Dawn
Woke up to a cold and wintry morn,
No blue sky, just a threatening dawn.
Clouds are low and a dirty grey,
Look full of rain ready to cascade today.
No sun to see to give us mirth,
Waiting for the deluge to water the earth.
Then, as I watched, to my delight,
The sun burst though, shining bright.
The clouds dispersed as the sun shone down,
Wiping away the mornings frown.
Another nice day in Cyprus.
