A River Runs Through It
A River Runs Through It
A river runs through this little piece of earth
Views serene, my heart can be light
I eavesdrop on the voice of the river
As it rumbles through boulders forthright
The current chimes harmonious music
Synchronize with the whispering trees
They sing of their many journeys
My lull as I get high on the breeze
Though oft’ times the river rages and roars
Seek the times it’s hush and calm
Dip your hand for a refreshing chill,
to lightly flow across your palm
