A Father's Day Prayer

Though tempest's foaming deep swells far from land and restless waves should buffet his small boat, the Captain at the wheel with steady hand trusts Providence to keep the crew afloat. A Shepherd finds green pastures for his flock protecting them that they may safely dwell and carries injured lambs who cannot walk to nurture them with love until they're well. Preparing lesson plans and lecturing, the Teacher answers questions patiently - delighting in the joy knowledge can bring, imparting light for growing eyes to see. Lord, please grant wisdom, strength, and grace to me to captain, shepherd, teach my family. Written 18 June 2022 Happy Father's Day

A wonderful mesage to all fathers... relevant not on Father's day alone, but through all days. You have the right vision of how a father should be... a confident captain who can navigate his ship in the right direction ,steering it over lashing waves. He should be a good shepherd protecting his sheep from predators and taking them to pastures green . Above all a great teacher leading his wards to the light of wisdom . I totally loved this poem, dear friend John !

Hi my friend, A beautiful prayer for Father's day - i absolutely loved the message and your words, so loving so fatherly and so faithful. I also wrote a poem for Fathers day but at the end of it when I revised it, one was too personal which I gave to Elias for Fathers Day and from the long poem I wrote originally I revisited it and will be posting soon - hope Fathers Day was a wonderful memory you have collected in the picture book of your mind. hugs and blessings John, Jennifer.

Yes, we were able to spend time with daughter and son-in-law and it was pure joy. My son couldn't make the 100-mile drive but we will visit with him in a week.
