For Write Nine Beautiful Lines (With A Twist) Poetry Contest

Sponsored By Constance La France

How often we visit a place and feel that we have been there before in a past life. Quote by poet. I went to France for the very first time and decided to go exploring,  the girl at the hotel told me about the beautiful woods that were nearby. She gave me a map and I got in my hire car and drove a short distance, I arrived at the woods and parked the car; there wasn’t a soul about. I put on my walking boots and headed for the entrance to the woods, a strange feeling came over me, like someone had stepped on my grave. I tried to shrug it off, but it kept niggling me, I carried on walking and knew before I heard it that there was a huge waterfall at the bottom of the hill.  I felt really spooked by it, and I asked myself, have I been here before?. Déjà vu

You have created an eerie sensation with this poem. Visiting a grave which we have never visited and if we still have a Deja Vu feeling it will cripple us with fear. Great poem. All the best dear Tom.

Hi Tom, you have described something unusual indeed that happens every now and then....I suppose that writing comments here might do it too (since we're here often)....I think I would rather be in France and contemplating the French language when it happens though!!! Hope you are well, of course!! Smiles. You are the anchor of PS.

Thank you very much Duke, I think most of us experience that sometimes in our lives. Have we lived in a previous life?, it's mind boggling stuff for sure. Tom

Maybe...or even tapped into Universal Consciousness -- life is far more involved than most of us ever are fortunately to realize. You, perhaps, are an extra lucky one. Very interesting read!

Who knows Tom? Life is full of Mysteries this is one of them. I bet the pastries were to die for in France and the food was out of this world. Hope you had a great time with your lovely wife. Blessings my friend...

Dear Tom,this is so atmospheric and intriguing! The way you build the suspense with that eerie, déjà vu feeling had me completely hooked. I could almost hear the distant rush of the waterfall and feel the quiet, haunting presence of the woods. It’s like stepping into a mystery waiting to unfold—love it!...Hugs

Dear Tom, your quote resonates with me and your poem as always so engaging and intriguing, well woven in such an eloquent manner. I do have those moments of dejavu , where i feel like iv been somewhere or done something previously! Its a very confusing experience altho i know why we experience that. What i love about your poem is the descriptive nature of your word weaving which makes it a very soulful read and one that i wish didnt end! Pleasure always reading your poems! So good to see you post more! Sending you light always . Best wishes

Thank you very much IE, I think it's something many of us experience in our lives. I remember going to a place and it came to me that I'd dreamt of it a few weeks before, I hadnt seen any pictures or read anything about it so haven't a clue how that happened. Hope your week is going well. Tom

Dear Tom, Your story is captivating, full of mystery and nostalgia, the allure of unfamiliar yet strangely familiar places. It’s as if the land itself holds forgotten memories. Intriguing and evocative tale. I have been there! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Now, you have to finish the story, Tom. Did you go behind the waterfall? Seriously, I've had Deja Vu feelings about having been some place in another time. It's a very disconcerting feeling. You used your storytelling expertise very well here and I hope it's rewarded.
