From the point of many seasons gone,
I am framed back to an earlier time,
Where caution and restraint have not been realized
and eager anticipation awaits.

A time of young promise and hopeful dreams,
when life is at full zest, bringing its riches to bear,
beckoning on, offering the summer of youth
to explore and enjoy.

For it is the time of hatching memories
 from the cocoons of wonder.
The time when buds bloom revealing petals
that only dress one garden.

Oh, the beauty of youth in the summer of life!
Breathtaking, captivating and so perfectly arraigned
with vibrant callings and colorful awakenings,
soft and light, destined to wing our lives forward.

To soon it seems this season passes,
that is what frames it, I suppose,
This portrait of promise and reflection
Kindles today with yesterday.

Being now at a more vigilant place,
Where wisdom and experience dance,
Offering a minuet of experience,
I reflect with grateful satisfaction.

Im right there with you, Jack. Childhood memories are near and dear to my heart. A very enjoyable read! If only the innocence would have lasted.
