A Traveller's Sorrow

I could not understand,
I had the whole world
in my hands.
I could be anywhere
I wanted to be,
but even then
I was not free.

I had a strong longing for,
something which
I know I knew before,
but had somehow lost
in the struggle
of trying to become,
more and more.

I could no longer run,
I could no longer hide,
from the sorrow
which I felt inside.
So I embraced my sorrow,
and my sorrow showed me,
That wherever I go
there I shall be.
That I am home
And home is me.
That I no longer
need to become,
because I already am.

I am the answer,
I am the key,
I am the truth,
to my own reality.
All this time
all I was looking for
was me...

I am free,
I am free,
I am free.

The Burden

The burden
Of lonliness,
A difficult,
Weight to bear.
Has broken,
The wills
Of many.
Who were brave,
Enough to dare.
Carry such
A freight,
Knowing they
Could not share.
On a journey,
Into their
Own emptiness,
To find out
If anything's
Even there.
The years
Shall pass
And you'll,
Want to break,
But you've,
Grow stronger
After each
Passing day.
And with this,
Stength aquired.
Understanding why,
The burden,
Was required.
To finally
Knowing,
How to be,
Alone,
Alone,
Alone.

A Loneliness Like This

He was my warmth,
He was my light,
In the darkest hours
of my darkest night.

Forsaken, stranded, and in despair.
I've never been so alone,
nor felt so scared.
Who knew that a loneliness like this,
could even exist?
A loneliness that longed
for even the companionship,
of Death's bittersweet kiss.

Yet, even in my most desperate
hours of need,
Death never came.
Even he too,
had abandoned me.
I had no hope,
I hated being alive.
Until a thought of you,
crossed my mind.
And I no longer cared,
that I had nowhere to go.
Because I was no longer alone,
You were there.

You are my warmth,
You are my light,
and in the darkest hours
of my darkest night,
My last thoughts
are of you.

The Last Dance

Flickering flames,
shadows dancing
in vain.
For their stories
that unfold
shall never again
be told.
Melancholy moves
the breeze.
An invitation to
the last dance,
of a soon
to be forgotten,
romance.

Forever Young

The older I get,
the younger
I've become.
It took me years,
to get this young.

Appearances,
may seem,
that I do age,
but younger I grow,
by the day.
For I am youth,
in its prime,
unwriting all the,
rules of time.
Continuing until,
all is erased,
and I'm brought back,
to my natural state...

A Blank Slate.

The older I get,
The younger
I've become.
Always living.
Forever young.

Burn Bright

Feed your fire.
Tend to
Your flame
The spark
That fuels
Your madness
The thing that
Keeps you
Sane.
In this mad
World.
Which tries
To contain
Everything
That's different
And not
The same.
Trust yourself
To be your guide.
In you yourself,
You can rely.
Surrender to
Your passions.
It's what'll
Keep you
Alive.
A life
Worth living
And you will,
Burn bright.
Burn bright.
Burn bright.
Allow yourself,
To be consumed
By the fire
That burns
Inside of you.
And you shall
Know yourself
Anew.
Shining brighter,
Than you,
Ever knew.

As You Are

I do not
Wish to
Call you
As a name.
Nor house
The responsibilty,
Harboured by words
That are frigid,
And fit soley,
Into a frame.
Neither do I desire,
To see you,
As an object,
Reduced by
The limitations
And capacity
Of thoughts,
To be owned,
Posessed,
And aquired.
These types
Of riches,
Can certainly,
Hold nothing,
Of real value.
But to know you,
Only, as you are.
A movement,
A force,
An action,
Living,
In this moment,
That which,
Became.

A Different Shade

Is the grass greener
On the other side,
Or just a different shade?
Could one even
Find shelter
In a single blade?
A question I had to ask
As I watched him laugh,
With his whole being...
That I could not help,
But to be taken aback.
And what was behind,
That intriguing smile?
So charming and guile,
It was his company
I've found to be,
More than worthwhile.
His secrets revealed,
Impossible for him
To hide,
For he does not know,
That when he talks
On the things
He cares about,
A passionate glint,
Suddenly appears,
Into his eyes.
And I am left,
Questioning,
How was I,
Caught by surprise.
Leading me
to wonder,
Is the grass greener,
On the other side,
Or just a different shade?
I look over the fence,
Where he stands,
And I cannot,
Turn away.

A Reminder

If that
Which I care for
Should become
Commonplace.
Would I be able to
Recall It's value
at it's face?
Or remember
That without me
It stands
In it's wonder
All alone.
That it was
Never mine
And never will be
To ever own.
If I should forget
What lies before,
And emptiness
Takes the space
Of what I had,
adored.
Will I ever be
Able to know it
Like I once knew it
Once more?
So if that,
Which I care for
Should become
Commonplace
Let me be,
Aware,
and reminded,
Of the beauty
That is always,
There...
