Leaf

Floating down with grace and ease
Carried off by the Autumn breeze
Rich in hues of orange and red
Landing in the flower bed

What once was buzzing full of life
Now succumbs to the pruning knife
Staring up at the wilted rose
Another season comes to close

Looking for memories of this day
Not forgetting her fun filled stay
Lying amongst the rocks and sticks
I'm the one the little girl picks

Hurries home with the one she took
Placing it in her poetry book

Beauty Inside

Your beauty deep inside
Behind those bedroom eyes
Most men will fail to find
With you only as a prize

I can see it clear as day
Shining from your soul
Hiding from the prey
It truly makes you whole

So wipe away your tears
Set your beauty free
Leave behind your fears
Come walk away with me

I Write

Tiptoeing towards the edge of the towering cliff I flap my wounded wings and fly over tall two hundred year old oak trees up to the top of the highest of mountains scanning a never ending sovereign sky I glide effortlessly in the strong southern trade winds watching the fawn and her doe in the wilderness My heart starts to beat, and I write I write of the fragrant fancy free daisies growing unrestrained of the sun smiling down reflecting in the fast flowing babbling brook of the doe munching on the savory green and yellow grasses oblivious to her surroundings , the fawn firmly within her sight I hear the songs coming from the red breasted baby Robin calling to her mother wondering when she'll return with dinner my heart beats lovingly and I write I soar higher and higher heading for the heavens past the mammoth yellowish orange coloured moon through the mysteries of the milky way all along thinking of the mysteries lying inside you I open my eyes, imagine I'm with you and I write

Friendship

You said age's only a number, beauty's skin deep
Wise words to live by, now if I could only sleep
Humor never can be taken away, have no regrets
Live like there's no tomorrow, an elephant never forgets

Since the day we met, things have been so right
Thankful for our meeting, making spirits bright
No more feeling lonely, no more feeling stressed
Friendships have started, I am feeling blessed

Not a day has passed without a smile on my face
Feeling happy has now become commonplace
Brought together by chance or was it by fate
Any way you put it, my friend, you are truly great

Whisper Soft Into the Night

Distant prayers echo through a lilac sky
light flickers brilliantly in angelic eyes
a yellow crocheted blanket falls to the floor
and a growing heart winks inside.

Kindness breeds kindness in a precious heart
and a kindred spirit lifts and flies free.
helping our fellow man in need
forgiving selfishness and greed

Open up your heart and mind
another child feeds a hungry soul
for one who loves to love, the greatest
blessing of all, is seeing the one you love, love

Whisper soft into the night my dire want
let the rains wash down a growing grace
carry off grandeur into a sequel led estate
as a simple smile adorns a very humble face

Blow Sweet Breeze

With the turning of the green
the fevered hues engulf my soul
rich radiant reds glistening in the sun
as my heart gleams with memories
of the solemn words that fall from
your angelic lips.
The ornate orange and dynamic yellows
come to life
like those sparkling flecks dancing
inside your autumn eyes. Oh my heart
my heart, rest my heart.
Breathless the breeze blows a subtle scent
of sweets from the pink flowing Amaryllis.
Blow sweet breeze blow off into the night
and on your wings I plant my kiss. A loving kiss
filled with the finest fruits of my harvest like the
finest bottle of red served on the terrace overlooking
the Grande Canal in Venice under a moonlit sky.
Blow sweet breeze blow and onto her veranda swirl
swirl gently into her palatial palace and wrap my love
firmly upon her waiting cheek.

Would You

Scrolling and scrolling the scripts slipping in seduction of the scene seen or unseen deflection not to mention reflection mirrors don't always appear to be or not to be drastic times call for drastic measures an ideal idiom of sorts depending on who's cause effects the cohorts a false dichotomy on decline no one gets to run or hide even they can't pick a side ________________ I digress as I undress the distress and distraugt being taught but is any of this right why is there always a fight I'd rather spread peace and love not push, not shove so in the shadow of hate I simply wait stripped down and nude join me, would you?

My Heart Beats For You

Walking aimlessly through the woods
Searching for that spot we once stood
Pouring out my heart and my tears
Reliving memories of those special years

Red and orange and purple from green
Rich autumn colors, a sight to be seen
The winds of change quickly blowing in
With it a new chapter will soon begin

Not ready to give up, I can't let go
Where am I headed, where will I blow
Lost without you, what am I to do
Darling, my heart is still beating for you

My Heart Is Meant For You

Lights dimmed in a cool marbled hall
a solitary candle flickers
soft chamber music echoes
and my thoughts turn to You
down on my knees
memories come as love has gone
how many times have I begged
to have a heart to hold
a bond to build
an angel to adore
Again I beg for the courage
the strength to carry on
to lead
to live
to love
unconditionally
A bright ray of sunshine
filters through the stained glass window
illuminating your image
heartaches soothe as I take in your essence
and I know
my heart is meant for You

The Poetess

Words flowing like magic, explode off my page
Taking me on journeys, I didn't seek
My mind is just floating, feelings do race
Her spirit is leading, to heaven I think

Reading but living, each chosen word
Caught up in beauty, emotions I trace
My heart is a flutter, tears sometimes fall
In awe of her verses, as much as her grace

Passion and love, I can feel her heartbeat
Sorrow and pain, mistakes made again
Dancing with nature, you take me by hand
Simply you're beautiful, I'm in love with your pen

Spilling of emotions, out onto the page
Poems come alive, for sure they are real
Confide in me please, all that's concealed
My dearest poetess, you make me feel
