A sonnet of attraction and desire

In the quiet glow of dawn,
Where shadows play and merge,
There she stands -
A vision, a muse, a silent whisper of desire.
Her beauty, an unspoken verse,
Crafting chaos within the tranquil heart.
Love, an unbridled wave,
Crashes against the shores of reason,
Where attraction, a relentless tide,
Pulls with the gravity of a thousand moons.

She moves, and the world seems to sway,
A delicate dance of light and grace.
Eyes, deep pools of mystique,
Drawing souls into depths unknown.
Her smile, a curve that sets the world aflame,
Lighting the dark alleys of longing.
In her presence, time fades,
A fleeting wisp in the wind,
Leaving behind the scent of blooming jasmine,
A memory etched in the essence of desire.

Attraction, a force beyond the grasp of minds,
Speaks in silent gestures and unspoken words.
In her, the epitome of beauty and grace,
A thousand sonnets find their muse.
Love, in its purest form,
Transcends the physical,
Finding solace in the beauty of her soul.
For in her laughter, in her gentle touch,
Lies the promise of dawn after the darkest night.

Yet, amidst this tempest of feeling,
A question lingers,
A whisper among the roaring winds of passion -
Does she perceive the depth of this attraction,
The magnitude of this love?
Or does she walk, unaware,
A beautiful dream,
Adored from afar,
A beacon of what could be?

In the silence that follows,
Only the heart knows true,
For in the realm of love and attraction,
Beauty is not merely seen,
But deeply felt,
A connection beyond the confines of the visible,
A dance of souls in the eternal waltz of existence.

The Only Way: a Love Poem Inspired

I only love to love you, oh my heart,
From the very start, it's been this way,
With each beat, I feel the spark,
And I know my love is here to stay.

Your smile, your touch, your gentle voice,
Are the reasons I wake up every day,
My heart sings, I have no choice,
For your love is the only way.

I only love to love you, in every way,
With each breath, I feel complete,
You are my light, my guiding ray,
My soulmate, my heart's retreat.

In this world of chaos and strife,
Your love is my only anchor and guide,
With you, I face each day of life,
For in your arms, I forever abide.

Beyond the Veil: Grieving the Death of a Loved One

The body lies still, no breath to take,
A loved one's gone, a heart does break,
But where does the essence of the soul go,
Beyond this life, do we truly know?

Do we grieve for the body, now at rest,
Or for the spirit, forever blessed,
Released from the bounds of earthly pain,
Free to roam, to love again?

If we could see beyond this veil,
Our ignorance and fears would pale,
For death would be a mere transition,
And life an endless expedition.

What new scripts would we then weave,
If we embraced death, and did not grieve,
Knowing that our loved ones live on,
And that our time with them was never gone.

So let us mourn, but let us also see,
The beauty in life's mystery,
And know that though we must say goodbye,
Our love will live on, never to die.

The Art of Baking

I measure out the flour and yeast,
And knead the dough until it's creased,
I add some sugar, salt, and butter,
And let the mixture rest to flutter.

The oven preheats, my hands are set,
I shape the dough with no regret,
Into a loaf, a roll, or bun,
My expert hands get the job done.

The aroma fills the room with bliss,
And soon the bread will feel the kiss,
Of heat that transforms dough to gold,
A feast for all, both young and old.

The art of baking, like poetry,
Requires precision, creativity,
A skill that's honed with every bake,
And each success, another notch to make.

So come and taste my expert bread,
The fruits of my labor, my heart and head,
And let this lesson be well learned,
In every craft, expertise is earned.

Virelai: the Beauty of Nature

Amidst the woods, the rustling leaves,
The soothing sound, a soul receives,
Inhale the scents of nature's bloom,
A healing balm that lifts the gloom,
Nature's beauty, a sight to see,
It fills the heart with harmony,
With each step taken on the sod,
A peaceful calm, it brings to God.

The waves that crash upon the shore,
A symphony that I adore,
The salty breeze upon my face,
A kiss of nature's sweet embrace,
The seagulls soaring up above,
A perfect scene of peace and love,
With each wave that ebbs and flows,
A tranquil heart within me glows.

The mountains standing tall and proud,
Their rugged beauty calling loud,
The echoing songs of the birds,
A joyful sound that needs no words,
The mountain air so crisp and clean,
A wonderland of nature's dream,
In every mountain, valley, and glen,
A pure and simple joy within.

My Baby

Pay attention to the complete charge,
the complete charge is the most extra impute of all.
Criminal, complete charge.
Down, down, down into the darkness of the complete charge,
Gently it goes - the unscheduled, the duplicate, the surplus.

I saw the the brown containerful of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the brown bottle.
Now chromatic is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the brown bottle is colored.

Why would you think the continuous change is little?
the continuous change is the most big action of all.
Down, down, down into the darkness of the continuous change,
Gently it goes - the deep, the massive, the monolithic.

Honey

I saw the the unshelled seedpod of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the peanut.
Does the peanut make you shiver?
does it?

I saw the the lemon edulcorate of my generation destroyed,
How I mourned the sugar.
Does the sugar make you shiver?
does it?

When I think of the sweetness, I see delicate words.
Now old is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the sweetness is unhealthy.

A lamb, however hard it tries,
Will always be zany.
A lamb is cockamamy. a lamb is buffoonish,
a lamb is unreasonable, however.

An apiculture, however hard it tries,
Will always be american.
Does the apiculture make you shiver?
does it?

Shadow of life

In the shadow of life, we find solace
A refuge from the harsh light of reality
Where the darkness wraps around us
Like a warm embrace, comforting and familiar

In the shadows, we can hide
From the judgmental eyes of the world
Where we can be ourselves
Without fear of being exposed

The shadows hold our secrets
The things we keep hidden from others
Our fears, our desires, our regrets
All safely tucked away in the darkness

But the shadow of life is not just a place of hiding
It is also a place of reflection
Where we can see ourselves more clearly
Without the distractions of the outside world

In the shadow of life, we find beauty
In the simple things that go unnoticed
The way the light filters through the leaves
Or the way the rain glistens on the pavement

So let us not fear the shadows
For they hold the key to our true selves
A place of peace and understanding
In the tumultuous sea of life's chaos.

Alone in the earth

In this vast expanse of blue and green,
I stand,
alone,
not a soul to echo my thoughts against,
nor a shadow to mingle with mine under the sun.

Here, where the earth stretches infinitely,
where the sky kisses the horizon with a lover's tender sigh,
I find myself an island in a sea of space,
solitude my only companion.

I wander through abandoned cities,
their stories etched in crumbling stone,
whispers of the past like ghosts,
fleeting and elusive,
a reminder of what once was.

Forests, ancient and wise,
their roots entwined with the very heart of the earth,
speak in rustles and sighs,
a language lost to all but the most attentive listener.

Mountains, majestic and stoic,
stand as sentinels over this deserted world,
their peaks piercing the heavens,
as if in defiance of their solitude.

Rivers, once teeming with life,
now flow with a solemn grace,
their waters clear and untouched,
mirrors for the sky and its wandering clouds.

In this silence,
where the heartbeat of the earth is the only sound,
I find a freedom unimagined,
a liberation from the chains of society,
from the cacophony of crowded existence.

Here, in the emptiness,
I am free to simply be,
to breathe in the essence of solitude,
to become one with the earth and sky.

Yet, in this boundless freedom,
there exists a paradox,
a yearning for connection,
for the warmth of a hand in mine,
for the resonance of another's laughter with my own.

Alone in the earth,
I am a paradox,
a seeker of solitude and a yearner for connection,
adrift in the vastness of existence,
finding both freedom and confinement in my isolation.

And perhaps, this is the true nature of being,
a perpetual dance between alone and together,
a journey through the spaces within and without,
searching for a balance in the infinite tapestry of life.

For My Clever Sea

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Your speech is clever,
And so are you.

Orchids are white,
Ghost ones are rare,
My wig is blonde,
And so is your hair.

Magnolia grows,
With buds like eggs,
List is long,
And so are your legs.

Sunflowers reach,
Up to the skies,
The house is big,
And so are your eyes.

Foxgloves in hedges,
Surround the farms,
Cheeks are pale,
And so are your arms.

Daisies are pretty,
Daffies have style,
Your effect is dazzling,
And so is your smile.

A sea is beautiful,
Just like you.
