You Comfort Me
The world’s on fire, and I’m afraid.
When you are here, the noises fade.
You comfort me with your sweet songs.
Inside your calm my soul belongs.
When you are here, the noises fade,
and so the stings of countless wrongs.
Inside your calm my soul belongs.
Your whispers all my trembling stay.
You soothe the stings of countless wrongs
and comfort me with your sweet songs.
Your whispers all my trembling stay, when
the world’s on fire, and I’m afraid.
