The only thing God can't do is fail.
When I was sick,
Alone and afraid,
Who beside my bedside stayed?
You did.
When my feelings hurt,
To the very core,
Who dried my tears and stayed some more?
You did.
When anger burned,
Within my heart,
Who stayed my rage, did peace impart?
You did.
When bitterness infused my soul,
I ran away, I left the fold.
Who waited patiently for me?
Who reached out to gather me,
Back to arms that ached for me,
Back to a heart that comforts me?
You did.
