This poem is about coming to grips with how men used to treat women. You can no longer touch, or treat them in inappropriate ways. Change has come and women have demanded it and rightfully so. Treating women equally is also an underlying theme.

“Wrong” Those day ago, Those years ago, What I said was wrong. What I did was wrong. Thoughts once forged in steel Came raining down upon my soul. A new landscape Hangs on my wall. A new book Lies on my chest. A she poet tells it all. What I thought was wrong. What I did was wrong. How could I be wrong? Thoughts once forged in steel Poured out of my heart. I cannot do what I used to do. I cannot be what I used to be. I cannot think what I used to think. Was what I was taught wrong? Was I always wrong? I never thought it wrong. My life Melted like ice That hot July day Those days ago, Those years ago, It was always wrong. A she poet told me so.
