When you do something that lifts someone's spirit, you lift your own as well.
Sing your song from the roof tops.
Sing out loud and clear.
Sing of love and hate and war,
And all that you hold dear.
Let others see the beauty,
That surrounds us every day;
The blue of the sky, the green of the grass,
And young things as they play.
Remind us just how precious,
Our freedom is to us,
And if it isn't guarded well,
How easily it's lost.
Tell us of your memories,
Things that made you laugh,
Like when you tried to learn to rope,
Was run over by that calf.
Share with us your song of life,
With all it's ups and downs;
For when you do you'll find in life,
God grants more smiles than frowns.
