Sometimes things happen in our lives that tend to spoil things for us just a tad.  Like maybe things are tough at work, maybe you have a problem with a neighbor or a friend, Maybe you have family problems, maybe serious ones, maybe money is tight and the rent is late.                I know things like this are serious and it's easier to give advice than to take it    --- BUT ---          You are not the only person in the world with these particular problems and yes there is a way to work things out if you want to, but you have to WANT TO, you have to have the WILL TO DO IT.  First of all sit down and THINK your problems through and PRAY ABOUT IT. Ask God for His divine help in ALL things. He WILL help you if you ask Him to.  No, your problems WON'T magically disappear. It would be nice but God doesn't do anything like that.  I mean,  look at the world around you. He did all that but He did it in such a way that it SEEMED like natural causes. Scientists argue about it all the time. (Oh it was "THE BIG BANG" that formed the world.) Yeah well maybe so but what caused the bang? At any rate some things are an uphill struggle all the way.. Jesus never promised His followers an easy road. He promised them times of trouble and opposition,  but He also promised to be there with us through it all giving us strength and fortitude to make it.  REMEMBER:  "I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENETH ME.."  Philippians 4:13

Why sit and worry over things that seem to happen daily; Little things that come and go that just annoy us really? Why get angry over certain things that those around us do, 'Cause people make mistakes sometimes and life's too short to stew, O'er things that sometimes come about without a soul to blame, 'Cept happen-stance and circumstance for want of other names. To fume and worry constantly makes mind and body sicken. It doesn't solve a single thing, it takes the joy from livin'; For God has deemed that rain will fall on fair and foul alike, And what can grow without the rain as well as warm sunlight; So take the rain and praise The Lord for sunlight and for showers, And thank Him every day that dawns for blessings He's made ours.

"life's too short to stew." I completely agree. Being concerned is perfectly normal, allowing something linger on your mind for a moment, until you figure it out. Dwelling and worrying leaves you feeling empty and down. I love this scripture -Philippians 4:13. So true. Congratulations Judy, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. :) Brandy

Lovely writing, Judy. Into every life a little rain must fall, but why dwell on it when it is nearly always followed by sunshine. I liked your poem very much. Congratulations for your P.O.T.D.

Couldn't agree more with your message, Judy! People really ought not to sweat the small stuff... Actually, I practice what I preach: I never worry. Never. That's why I got married, after all. I just let my wife do all the worrying. And she does!... Congrats on POTD, Judy, and Happy Sunday! Smiles, Gershon
