World Upside Down
The day my life went bonkers was a true test,
seeing myself in an unfathomable petri-dish. Small doses
of medicines being administered to me from the stars,
like shaking salt on a bowl of ox-tail soup.
Before I thought I was seasoned enough,
but I was wrong; dead wrong. My life has to be palatable
in the minds of future folks who read my life story.
Living in illusion isn’t easy – that’s actually sticking into a bubble
called a fantasy. You see, the problem is that my bubble burst,
the ripple effects sending shivers through my spine.
I felt vulnerable in a world I thought I knew enough to survive and manipulate.
Weird how tiny things like viruses can turn the world into an Independence Day movie
kind of shake up…..
