World Changer

Yesterday I was on a mission to change the world. I was so passionate about change that it was all I thought about. I lived and breathed” change.”I wanted to live in a unified world. I was young and ready to take on the world. I had new ideas( at least I thought they were). I focused on the things we all had in common. I didn't focus on race, religion, and gender. However, I did acknowledge those things because they were important and core values. In the past, they were the “ things.” that brought division. So I decided to focus on the one main thing that we had in common across the board. I focused on being human and nothing else. For a while, everything was going great, and we were striving, and we were starting to see change. And change takes work. Change can be challenging and uncomfortable at times. We must work on “change”every single day. Yesterday I set out to change the world. But in the end, the world wasn’t ready for change. Alexis Y. 03/21/2021

The world would never be ready to change unless we all are ready to change ourselves, my dearest visionary Alexis. God bless you for the lofty dream! Hugs xxxx

You are wise to acknowledge both the things that divide us -- race, religion, etc. -- and the one thing that unites all of us. I pray change does come and that people of diverse backgrounds find the acceptance they deserve. Well said, Alexis! Hugs, Carolyn

To change the world is impossible because since the beginning man always did what he liked. One day God will achieve that change.

I think any time we change ourselves the world changes. We may not witness the change but the butterfly effect is beyond anything we can imagine. Blessings and happiness and a hug. P.S. every smile and every hug you give makes the world better. Do not underestimate your power. ;0)

I think change is best achieved by little steps, one building on another, but they can add up quickly - I hope you continue to be the change you want to see :)

I guess it depends on the kind of change you are striving for. Everyone sees everything through different eyes. Some see a glass half empty while we may see it as half full. Nice write Alexis. Enjoyed the way you bring these things to point. God Bless, JB

Well written Alexis, many before us shared our dreams of a happy unified world, things are better than they once were but we've still got a long way to go. Hope your Sunday is going well. Tom

Ah, that is because seniors do NOT like change! They have spent their whole lives adjusting to changes, yet "life is constant change" Well thought and scribed! Aloha! Rico
