Woodland Trail
Woodland trail obscured by floating gray mist
camouflaged by evergreen fern
when trite despondent eyes were softly kissed.
I searched for what my eyes had missed
feeling a breeze starting to churn
and I was in the direct trailing midst.
Is this lover’s fleeting way of a tryst?
Grieving heart for brief glint does yearn
when trite despondent eyes were softly kissed.
Awed what entity was here to exist
or would I ever really learn?
Woodland trail obscured by floating gray mist.
Taunting harassment remained to persist
but no longer was big concern
when trite despondent eyes were softly kissed.
I close my eyes in fear it will desist
but have no doubt it will return.
Woodland trail obscured by floating gray mist
when trite despondent eyes were softly kissed.
